We should have won that game by 15, but I'll take any win at this point.

They tried to lose this one, and the refs helped a lot, but they got the win anyway.

6 turnovers...that was key. Take care of the ball and we can win anyone of these.

These guys on the line when the game is in doubt are just horrid. I’ll take the W, but still seeing the same stupid stuff every game

No question. it's whether it's a 2:1 fail rate or higher

Maybe it's recency bias but this feels like the worst it's been in a while

Simas played well despite a likely mild concussion. Lakhin playing better each game, don't know why he was out during that late Kansas State run. Day Day and Newman also played well. Reynolds, Jizzle and Reed had to play more than we want to see them on the court.
Getting a win without Skillings is a great thing, but boy is this team difficult to watch at times.

They leave Soooooo many points at the line. It doesn't really matter "when" in the game, they are terrible at the line.

Thank goodness the better team won at least. UC played really well tonight - just a lot of Tylor Perry keeping K State in the game.

Kansas St 21-25 FT's, UC 4-8
Only 3 UC players shot free throws tonight - Reynolds 2-5, Bandaogo 2-2. Newman 0-1
UC was outrebounded 37-27

RE: KState Game Thread
We need Ws so it doesn't matter how we got it. Funny enough, Perry (?) has been getting calls all night and relied on a bail out from the refs and didn't get it. i guess that's some poetic justice.
Vik played a lot better. Definitely hit the boards hard. i wish he would stop with the threes and dribble in for a mid range. Those are just as wide open and he might even be able to rebound his misses if he's shooting it from the elbow. it also helps draw some help defense which can help with our offensive boards. The treys are just not working rn. Maybe getting a couple of mid-range jumpers to go in can help.

RE: KState Game Thread
One key difference between this meltdown and the Nevada meltdown was that UC had two chances to retake the lead. When you blow a lead it’s better to do a bit earlier so you get a chance to recover.
Also end game Simas is huge. He would had two more winners if they would have held vs WVU and Texas.

When teams go zone against us, i want Reed in. He needs to get comfortable hitting catch and shoot treys, and he gives us defense and rebounding. if he's able to be a three and D guy, he helps create space on the floor and that helps Jizzle and/or Day Day. it also can help give Simas a breather. Simas plays a lot of mins. Made a bad mistake today by fouling on a three pointer but that seems to be a team issue.
Bottom line, if Reed starts to step up his game, we become a lot better of a team.

The refs called out of bounds on UC when a KC state player clearly hacked/pushed Vic from behind, worst call I've seen in a while.

Jizzle played 28 minutes last night. If he transfers because of PT, he's not going to be playing in the Big 12 next season, that's for sure.
