As long as you don't play UCF, apparently ;-)

Internet message boards are priceless sometimes.

It's sort of fun -- in an anthropological sort of way -- to see how excited you get every time we play. And here we are 7 straight wins and counting.

Tulsa's up next...they come to Houston on Saturday. You can all start your Hurricane party tonight.

7 road wins -- 2nd only to Memphis in the league.
17 total wins -- 2nd in the league (possibly third after tonight)

but 1st in terms of the number of Memphis hard-ons we create.

You want our attention, flagship....?

March 4th, you've got it....

Until then, just be patient and wait in line for the big boys to kick your teeth down your throat just like the rest of the JV's of Conference USA.

If they can wait their turn, you surely can too.

The JVs?

Are you talking about your football team?

Nah...our football team can actually win a bowl game.

Yet they can't beat UCF.

Thanks for making that easy.

We beat you last year (remember that?). We went to the same tournament you went to last year. Does that mean we're the flagship currently?

Keep telling yourself that you beat this team...

A LOT of teams have tried to convince themselves of that.

They found out differently....

You didn't beat this team, you beat a pathetic shell that was trying its best to hold the ship together.

A wave of newcomers and a purging of an idiot or two does make for a brand new team, you know...

So yeah, keep telling yourself that you beat this team. You'll find out just like all the rest have, flagship.

I agree 100%. BTW, no one's getting thrown under the bus. Actually, idiot is a mild term for the 2 in question. One had a guaranteed NBA contract waiting if he kept his head on straight for one more year. Not now.

The other one... makes me sick to think about it.

That's ancient history now. Anyone with a brain can see it and maybe one day Houston fans will too.

So, BOSSMAN, what'd the Tennessee fans think of your trophy?

You did go show them right? I mean you're all proud and all.

is there a point to this thread???

so far we have established:

1) houston pulled an upset at their place last season and beat memphis.

2) memphis won it's bowl game...and ucf did not.

3) the ucf fans are still bragging about their HUGE, timeless win over our football team.

Anybody watch the ESPN Classic roundball game today? Houston - Memphis regional finals in 1984. Seems you boys still didn't win that game. Oh that's right, you boys never beat Houston in the dance. So sad. 05-stirthepot

Are both of you guys seats together?

Or do they spread you out so it looks better for all the TV games.

Cougars' first game after making Top 25 ends in a loss to South Alabama.

03-yawn Still hoping the attendance smack will work??

Heh, all holy hell is going to break loose when Memphis loses to UH again.

There goes the #1 seed. There goes the top-25 ranking. They might even talk of firing Cal.

It's coming! you can run... on second thought, no you can't.

How'd it feel? Did you shat your pants?

How was the ride home? Did you kick your dog when you got home? I bet you did.

Hehe, you're going to re-live all those nightmares again.

You know...Houston can beat us every year for all I care as long as we go to the postseason (being the NIT or NCAA, obviously preferably the NCAA...though Houston hasn't been in so long they may have forgotten that tournament still exists) and win games there.

2001 NIT Final 4
2002 NIT Champs
2003 NCAA 1st round
2004 NCAA 2nd round
2005 NIT Final 4
2006 NCAA (who knows what will happen)

I'll GLADLY take a loss to Houston in exchange for wins in the postseason.

And likewise in football...Central Florida can beat us every year (like UAB) as long as #1. we go to a bowl game and #2 actually win some of them.
