Great win for UT today. They played one of their best games all year. Sammi was well - just more of what she does so well. Sammi is a damn good athlete and a complete player. She plays tough D, handles ball, drives, decent shot and super tough on boards.

Toledo is doing what good teams do - playing their best ball at season's end.

Good games all around with JC getting in double digits again.

Fantastic defensive effort which made the Ball State offense all kinds of trouble. That defense made up for a subpar performance by Lockett (6 turnovers!) and Wiard who was hounded by Hampton as usual. And what a game by Sammi, the game of her career. She was the dominant player on the floor. and IMO Toledo is not only the leader in the league standing but has the upper hand going forward.

In the interview with Heller, Cullop said that Latoja Schaben missed the Iowa State game today to come to UT for the half-time ceremony. That's something.

Now comes the trip to DeKalb, which is always a tough place for UT to play. BG beat the Huskies 82-73 today.

What's with the refusal to call an offensive foul in the post today? All year long, the refs have been generous making that call. Today, they were determined not to, even when it seemed obvious. Did the BG coach send a memo to all MAC refs that Toledo flops?

Your are correct it was a strange series of calls ... except they had no problem calling it on Hannah when she was double teamed.

I was surprised to see Lockett sit so much. I checked the box score and saw that she played only 29 minutes despite no foul trouble.

Also, If Wiard is going to play 40 minutes in the final of the MAC tournament, I hope she is able to get a lot of rest in the first two tournament games.

They have been managing Lockett's minutes for a while now. Has only played over 30 minutes once in the last six games. She said, I think in the Miami presser, that she's only just feeling close to 100%.

Great to see some of the all-time greats back.

Just noticed that the Rockets are #28 in the RPI rankings. Annoying that, when we finally have the credentials to get an invite under the old metric, it is no longer relevant. In the old days of the RPI, I don't think a team in the 20s ever got overlooked.
