Right. Everyone knows who they are playing, we just don't know when or who will be getting Thursday/Friday games, etc.

No, we don't have a conference network, but ESPN+ was sold to us as "kind of like having a conference network". I've been less than impressed with what we've ended up with. Triple A mentioned that we don't really need discussion/commentary around what are seen as "could-be" big games on a newly released conference schedule. Fine, whatever. On the flip side, for 100% of the games thrown on +, and a good bit of the games on the actual cable channels, there is zero pregame commentary. Plus jumps right to kickoff, and a game on ESPN/2/U sometimes cuts right from Sportscenter like "That concludes a half hour of coverage on how Texas' third-string corner knocking up his girlfriend could impact team morale, now over to New Orleans where the winner of Tulane and Memphis will earn a spot in the AAC championship ga....(cuts over mid-sentence)".

What I said was for me personally, I don't need 2 days of schedule hype in February, when we have media days later on. You can pine for something more. I don't.

Especially since we have no network. I also said if we had a network, then sure, we would have plenty of time slots to discuss the schedule ad nauseam.

All I need in February is to see opponent, date and time. If you want more, fine, but don't say I didn't want to see blah blah blah. I never said that.

I just don't think it's practical, given our lack of a network, and it's not something that I miss. Maybe you should contact the new commish when he's hired and see if he can get something on ESPN+.

But I'm not beating a drum for it in February, b/c I have never given it a second thought.

Didn't mean to offend. To me, saying that all you need in February is opponent/date/time, it implies that you don't want the 2 days of hype/analysis/discussion in February that the other conferences usually do. That's also what I took from "I don't need 2 days of schedule hype".

What I objected to was this sentence:

I will echo that knowing the exact days of games does nothing for me. If I want to go somewhere I have no problem planning it in April.
