This upcoming three game stretch against OU and Akron at home and BG on the road will go a long way in determining Tournament seeding for Toledo next month. The following four games before the Tournament are against NIU, Buffalo, Miami, and Kent St, with the first 3 teams Toledo has dominated in recent seasons. While there are no guarantees of any victory, win 2 of these next 3 games and Toledo will be in excellent shape for a top 3 seed. Sweep these 3 games and Toledo will be no worse then a #2 seed. These next 3 games will also give us an indication on whether Toledo is improving as a lot of us, including me, think they are. I will especially be looking at the performances of Wilson, Lorentson, and Lewis as key indicators on how much improvement we are truly making. These next 10 days will tell us a lot!

Couldn't agree more. It is the home stretch for the season. It's basically a 4 month season and we're in the crucial tail end. Conference championships have been a big deal here at UT because of no tourney bids. Start on right path tomorrow. This UT team is a good team. The game at App state confirmed that for me. Maybe D is not where it should be but like others have said before the scoring ability loss from last year has been 90% + covered which was a surprise for me. How hard and tenacious this team plays down the stretch will be the difference. I think we're as good as anyone in the league we just need to get it done. I like our chances.

I'm curious about attendance level for tomorrow's game on a Friday at 9 pm. BG was on a Friday but that was BG. Hopefully it's 6K plus !!

This will be fun and I'm looking forward to it. Wouldn't it be a hoot of if what we thought was a rebuilding year be the one that gets us where we want to go?

Earlier I had my doubts that this team could get to 20 victories, I don't anymore. TK up to this point has done one hell of job coaching, even though I disagree with his substitutions and non substitutions at times.

I think they have a chance to win in Cleveland. It will no doubt be a battle no matter who it is against - matchups and all. Let's hope they get the opportunity. I think they all know the score at this point and what needs to happen. For now I'm going to trust the coaches - and at the end of the day - the players.

The team we didn't know where the points were going to come from is averaging almost 81 a game. Not bad. On the other hand, the opponents are averaging 77. That surprises me in a way, as I thought they played pretty good defense for the most part.

Tough games, still time to improve and develop, and good for what needs to happen down the road. At times this year, they looked like a well oiled machine, coming from all angles and sizes. Play smart and unselfish and good things will happen.

I agree Screwball, they have a good chance to get to the finals, depends on seating, and a possible Akron lost in the first round. Then again, those juniors maybe 1 year away to winning it all. I don't think any MAC team that goes to the big dance will get no higher than a fourteen seed and in doing so will play the 3rd seeded team.

I feel better about our chances this year than any prior. we had better teams before but they always had a MAC nemisis or two that had their number and would likely be waiting in the bracket. the MAC is down this year. cmu and Akron can beat us. some others on their best night can too. but on a neutral court over a 3 game stretch we have the best offense and this is the most gritty defensively opportunistic team TK has had. no one will bully us out of a title. meanwhile, CMU and Akron have limited reliable scoring. I wouldn't bet on either of them to win 3 straight tough games. It's also the kind of year where a 6th place team could get hot and go to the tourney.

Exactly. Ohio plays 10 guys with over 11 mins a game so they are a team with offensive capability to do damage. Can't forget KSU if they find a groove.

I'm not sure if Toledo played a worse game offensively than vs. CMU where we shot 33% from the field and still almost won. Vermont was bad as well. CMU doesn't scare me a ton, but I'd hate to draw them in the semis with no return game at Savage to grab confidence.
