They will have to win out. I'm not being a hater but I dont think any realistic Memphis fan expects that to happen. They have the talent to do it but something else is lacking, and I think it's been determined it starts with Penny.

UNT is a good team despite their record. Every conference game they've lost has been very close. I fully expect Sunday to be another dogfight between UAB and UNT

UNT is a scrappy team. If the Mean Green can get all 5 starters on the court together by the time we get to the conference tournament, things could be very interesting in Fort Worth.

Memphis plays so damn erratic and helter skelter. You got Quinerly jacking it up from halfway in between the three point line and half court with barely 5 seconds drained off the shot clock, and David Jones jacking up shots whenever he feels like it.

A lot of talent, size, length, and athleticism.

It's almost as if they lack a good coach...

The sad truth is Memphis is a weak team in a likely one bid league.

This Tiger team has transitioned from highly acclaimed World Beaters to something resembling a chaotic homeless camp in San Francisco. All in the face of a few weeks. Truth positive that just because you recruit stars from a variety of programs doesn't necessarily mean they can play together effectively and cohesively as a team.

This iteration of Memphis Basketball is mediocre at best.

Yep. We're down alright, but that shouldn't take away from the teams that are beating our brains out.

UNT needs to put Edwards in a tamper-proof package this off-season. Dude is money. I can’t see how they hang on to him.

Yeah only them, smu, and Charlotte don't have a Q4 loss. Meanwhile the league leader has 2!

Winning on the road in the AAC is very tough 6 of our schools have 2 losses or less at home and UAB has 3

Memphis is talented, but our roster is imbalanced. We barely have any guards and sure as hell don’t have any that are good defenders. Mills going down killed us.

Probably not quite that dire, but close.

I came away very impressed by UNT.

You have multiple dynamic, scoring players, and almost everybody can hit an open jumper.

Your team looks better than it did last year to me, despite having a worse record.

The offense is much more dynamic than the McCasland style of “bleed the clock til 2 seconds and let Tylor Perry jack up a contested shot.”

I am honestly shocked that UAB beat UNT at their house. I expect the game Sunday to be a really good one.
