I could see it being a 3-bid league under extremely slim circumstances. USF wins the conference championship after running the table, smu upsets fau in the conference tourney and gets all the way to the final, fau wins all their other games and has no more losses other than usf. Extremely slim chances I know but that's what it would take. If it's fau and someone else in the conference championship, then it will be two teams if fau loses. Tough to see how Memphis pulls it off unless they win the conference championship or run the table and lose to fau in the conference championship game.

Was hoping for 3 bids but many faltered down the stretch. FAU also has to get it in gear as they are way too inconsistent this year. Need to get it going from the start.

It's pretty wild to me that USF has a real chance to get into the top 25 in the next week or so but is probably well outside the bubble. Has a team in the top 25 ever not gotten an at large bid in the modern era?

FAU should be an at-large barring a late collapse at least. 3-2 the rest of the way and you guys are likely safe, even with a 1st round conference tourney exit.

Yeah, probably. Just make sure and beat Tulane and at least one of the Memphis games.

Utah State 2003-04 immediately came to mind.

No question that the AAC is a 1 biddie conference if the OP’s scenario plays out.
