EKU (10) over Kennesaw last night
Maybe not newsworthy here, however EKU beat future CUSA member, Kenny State last night by ten in Kennesaw, GA.
After a rough start to the season, EKU is 8-1 in the ASUN and has a 2 game lead in first place.
Just my observation from TV, for those that say EKU needs “shiny” new facilities, Alumni Coliseum appears larger and a better venue from what I saw on TV last night, and that’s before we finish the 31 million renovation next year. But, I get it….population (or enrollment=$$$) is everything right now.

Out of curiosity, do you post this non-stop whinning on the SBC and MAC boards after they've snubbed EKU repeatedly?

Well you are probably correct in that this is useless.
btw, you’ve not seen me on the MAC board for quite sometime and rarely at that. Maybe you see it as “whining”, but I see it as facts.
However, after giving it some thought you are correct, this a total waste of my time. Thanks for the reminder.

Nah man, you are welcome to post that kinda info here anytime. Make your school look better and stand out. I would expect fans to do nothing less. Not many of us here are hostile toward EKU. I like the Colonels. Would be great for them to be a part of CUSA. Good luck the rest of the season.

Anyone is welcome to post here, even EKU fans. In fact, I've stated on numerous occasions thst I'd have no issue with EKU in our conference. I think theyd be a good fit. I like some of the EKU fans that post here..such as EKUSteve. They usually bring good conversation and insight. I'm not a fan of LexColonel tho. Nearly all his posts come across as whIning about why they haven't been invited or taking jabs at WKU. But hey, he's who he is. I respect his passion for EKU tho.

As a Jax State fan, I want to thank EKU for beating kennesuck state. I'll always delight in seeing you triumph over those owls.
As a CUSA fan, I, too, would like to see fewer whiney posts. I was happy to leave the OVC with EKU. I was sad to see our rivalry end in the ASUN. I wouldn't mind sharing a conference with you again one dat. And I enjoy seeing most posts from EKU fans who feel the same way. I don't particularly care for long soliloquies about how nobody likes you and nobody wants you.

The problem with facilities with EKU has been their football stadium. I think other than that, they are a solid expansion candidate for CUSA.

Evaluation ongoing. The home side has been evaluated as structurally sound for another 20 yrs. It will be around $7M to renovate to include some elevators to the second deck and press box. Last I saw from an article last year was it would be $160M to demolish and build a new home side.

You can build all the facilities you want. They are not taking EKU. For CUSA, it is all about enrollment and growth and potential. Eastern Kentucky scores low across the board. They would be about as good as anybody else and will not be much worse. But they do not have what the conference wants. They will be an emergency add at best which fortunately for EKU might just happen sooner rather than later. When it does, you will not know the difference.

We are doing these things regardless of what happens conference wise.

You are absolutely correct. I think everyone has a pretty good handle on this.

Has EKU won the ASUN like KSU did last year? Yeah until that happens, go somewhere.

Yes, so is most of your conference. Act now or get left behind forever.

Like I said...you're 100% correct. I think we're all in agreement about that.

Your smart to build. CUSA western flank could easily get raided in the future and CUSA may have no choice but to add EKU.
