Got Wes off the UCBearcatlawjd2 hot seat, or we're still quietly talking to coaches' agents?

huge win and they went with right five guys when it matters. Day Day, Dan, Simas, John, and Aziz for better or worse are your five to ride when it matters.

This team is tough as hell. Plenty of flaws but they go to war every night and make it so hard on the other team

From what I've seen the last few games there was no answer to Reynolds on defense. Wes needs to up his minutes to around 18-20 to make these games easier at the end. Work inside out not outside in.

TT coach dropped that they "weren't 100%" just a liiiiiiiittle too much. It's almost as if he was using it as an excuse.

Their star player Issac was getting a little frustrated with UC's defense and the physical banging that was going on.

Some comments from Tech fans.

"Tech is awfully short compared to Cincinnati."

Yeah, I've been on him as much as anyone so far.

He was nails last night.

That's what we need from him from here on.

Yes, but he also offered a lot more praise for Cincy then a lot of other coaches. Thought he was pretty classy, tbh.

RE: Cincinnati at Texas Tech Game Thread
UC’s overall tournament resume is being undervalued nationally right now. The computer metrics on the team range for 26 to 45 with most important rankings of Kenpom and NET are both 30. The Cats top three wins are over legit tournament teams with two of them beating upper tier in quad 1.

I hope that after last night most brackets would have UC as an 8 or 9 seed. Road wins over tournament teams are completely outweigh bad losses so winning yesterday is 100 times better than beating WVU and losing to Tech.

I would feel really good if UC wins six more but still think 5 might do it this year.

9-9 is a slam dunk. They have 3 should win games all home WV, Okla St, Kansas St. That gets them to 7. Getting to 9 would mean they pull out 2 of 6 games they are underdogs...all top 25 teams except @UCF. 2 Home, 4 Away.

If we get CJ back and Simas looks anywhere close to last night's win, we could be a lot of trouble for other teams.

And it appears from Wes Miller's recruits, UC will get even taller next season. I like what he's building here.

Glad you brought that up. IMO Wes wants a team that has bigs who if anything can rebound and play tough physical basketball around the basket. I keep watching Sage Tolentino and Rayvon Griffith, 2 kids who should hit the hardwood next year.

They both seem to be adding muscle, Tolentino up to 240 and Griffith at 205. I see them both at least adding 10 more pounds of muscle before next season. Simas is 225, Newman and Skillings 215. UC wants to be the bullies of the Big 12.
