That final shot by WKU almost made my heart drop but the Bearkats pick up a huge road win tonight by topping the Hilltoppers.

Rightfully got tossed and should sit for a while. Nasty hit. Hooten, at least at SHSU, ran an honorable program. Maybe that’s acceptable at NMSU though… we know Moccia’s athletic department doesn’t exactly hold themselves to an upstanding standard.

Coach McKay said in his postgame interview that Robinson would be out for a while and that he had a broken nose. There is no excuse for cheap shots like that. Carpenter should get a lengthy suspension in my opinion.

Honestly Carpenter deserves to be benched the rest of the season for that ****. I thought we were done with that BS. Although I am not going to blame a dumb*** move by a player on Hooten. The response will be judged.

He’s human scum. He should never wear an Aggie uniform again. The portal allows idiots like this to bounce around and keep playing when they likely can’t actually get along anywhere.

This guy is a junior and NMSU is already his 4th school. I’d be curious to know what happened at the last 3.

As fans we have the luxury of being appalled and wanting Carpenter ousted from NMSU. Carpenter deserves to be disciplined. But the matter is really between Carpenter, Hooten and the powers that be in CUSA. Carpenter's actions are not acceptable at NMSU (nor at any school for that matter), but it is an isolated incident that requires an appropriate response. As an Aggie fans, I believe Hooten will take everything into account and administer the appropriate amount of discipline toward Carpenter. And as an Aggie fan, I apologize for the harm our player did to the Liberty player (Shiloh Robinson). But I refuse to group this incident with the issues that plagued the basketball program under Greg Heiar a season ago. Or throw shade at an Aggie player's basketball career without knowing the reasons for his multiple transfers.
