It seems to be confined to the Arkansas media for now.
Arkansas would be quite a step down from Kentucky.
However:
There have been rumors for a few months that Calipari was on the hot seat at Ky.
If Ky fires him, they owe him over 33 million dollars. If he leaves of his own accord, there is no buyout.
While at first glance the idea seems silly, it may actually have some traction. <shrug>

I dont see why they can't work out a mutual agreement where he gets some part of the buyout if he leaves "on his own".

Reading between the lines of what the AD said a few weeks ago, after his season ending meeting with Cal, it sounds like they may have already worked something out where Cal would move on of his own accord.
This coaching search is going to be wild. Almost everybody is on the table. Hurley may be the only college coach out there that wouldn't take the job.

UK fans are begging for Oats. Personally, if I was him, I’d just stay at Bama. They have the resources to compete at the same level as UK but you get a much longer leash.

Kentucky is a difficult place to coach at. He will get to Arkansas and become a God to them.

He’s actually a good coach. He is a KY legacy. He played for Pitino at KY and won a Natty there as a player. It was considered one of KY best teams ever. Supposedly a very nice and funny guy.

I was very impressed by his work at BYU. Now, he will have some real resources.
