Are consumption taxes also theft or just income taxes?

I'm referring to responsible spending/budgeting. Neither party has done that in decades.

We need some taxes for roads and such, but the country could run just fine without income taxes. Most of our taxes go straight to bureaucrats. Fire the entire IRS and that would eliminate the need for the majority of income taxes right there.

I agree. And we don't need income taxes for responsible spending/budgeting.

Well if taxes are lowered that would kinda force them to be more responsible with spending, right?

Did they cut spending when the Trump tax cuts went in place? No. They borrowed more. Then Biden came into office and they spent and borrowed even more. In bipartisan votes.

The fact that many of Trump's policies were bad doesn't change what we're saying. "Trump did it too" doesn't make it right.

How much do you actually think would be saved by firing the entire IRS? I'll answer the question for you, IRS requested budget for next year is 14.1 billion. Lets compare that to just the Pentagon budget, 857 billion for 2023. Math don't math that eliminating the IRS would eliminate the need for income taxes.

You understand that the original income tax was created to fund a war and was supposed to end when said war did?

Oh but look at all this money we can funnel into our pockets now thought the government.

That wasn't a Trump did it too point. That was a point that we just recently cut taxes, but they didn't cut the spending with it. It negates the "if they don't collect it they can't spend it" theory.

You're quite right, but the issue isn't Democrat vs Republican or Trump vs Biden*.

It's simply that our entire government is corrupt.

How have Republican and Democratic policies affected YOUR life
Covid was a breaking point for me. Most of my friends are educated, work remote jobs, etc. All of them vaccinated including myself.

They would celebrate people dying who didn’t take the EUA vaccine. I’ll never look at them the same way again after some of the comments made from late 2020- end of 2021.

I always asked myself “how could the holocaust happen? How could a country be ripped apart so easily that genocide was ok?” Covid cleared the air on that. Lots of useful idiots out there, and most of them are educated and make good money.

A bit disingenuous my friend...

I'll grudgingly give AM 50/50 on that one. Trump got bullied, but how often did Trump ever get bullied? He rolled over. In his defense, he was between a rock and a hard place.

Trump screwed up on this when he got it and took Ivemectrin and got well over it, but refused to promote it for the rest of America to have access to it.

That was his big one.. we could have put Pfizer and Moderna and all these other big pharmcy businesses out to pasture crying.

As for the masking and stuff.. i still blame the governors more so than Trump.. If you wanted to let your state take it's chances, rather than mandating business closures and stupid distance rules... (example: Missouri didn't mandate masks or anything, but they let local cities decide... you can guess which cities mandated it and took a nosedive economically)

You really believe that? Sometimes I feel like I live in a different world because I recall this just about 100% different...

I recall the media promoting Trump wants you, I and others, to use horse dewormer. Not only on this but the other drug (forgot its name) that seemed to work but hospitals threaten doctors if they used it

I must be about as bad as Biden in remembering facts

RE: How have Republican and Democratic policies affected YOUR life
WKU, I remember the 'news stories' making fun of the Ivemectrin solution, "horse tranquilizer", but as said earlier, it was one that Trump did get bullied into not promoting it as much as I think he should have.

I don't remember the other one (i know there was a second one), but as said this was one of those cases, where Trump (IMO) quietly let big Pharma just run him over in this case.

Again, that was one where Trump was at fault for not standing his ground... (one of the few times he didn't).
