RE: WAC MEN’S BASKETBALL WEEK #9
I know everyone knows we aren't talking about who won or lost the game at this point, but the lack of accountability or faculty of common sense by officiating crews, the NCAA or the WAC. Because I promise that ZERO will be said or come of this by the WAC or the NCAA.

When I saw the play live, I didn’t think it was out of his hand. After watching numerous replays, I still don’t think the ball was out of his hand. I have seen several replies on X/Twitter and nobody has posted they think it was a good shot. Game should have gone to OT.

You’re imagining things and playing the victim. It’s just Basketball, man. Teams are gonna go on runs. Just look at what UTA did to Oral Roberts.

According to you, this non-call was by a crew that was looking for vengeance against the team that actually did commit the foul.
In fact the refs hated Tarleton so much, they allowed this non-call to make the player miss the remainder of the game and all of the next.

RE: WAC MEN’S BASKETBALL WEEK #9
For a point of clarification. UTA had 16 total fouls, Tarleton 21. Two Tarleton players accounted for 9 of the 21.The other six players who logged minutes accounted for 12, or two each.
TSU is averaging 17 fouls a game. Against DI competition, it is just over 18. In all three WAC games the exact average is....bum bum BUM.....21!
Tarleton exceeded 21 fouls against Virginia (28), UNT-Dallas (22), UTRGV (23) and Tennessee (22). Jacksonville St was right behind at 20.
If you are going to say Tarleton was targeted by the mean refs because ...reasons, then you'd better having something that doesn't fall in line within the statistical mean to back it. Otherwise, it looks like pure homerism.
ACU and UTRGV would have something to back up that, for example. I provided a non-call in favor of Tarleton as an example. You provided nothing but opinion.

RE: WAC MEN’S BASKETBALL WEEK #9
As much as I like to enjoy our win, we are going to have a tough 3 game stretch on the road coming up. First is GCU in Phoenix, then CBU in Riverside, before circling back to Tarleton in Stephenville. If we were playing CBU at home I might feel more comfortable coming out of that trip 1-2. As it is, we could very well end up 1-5 in conference afterwards. My ask for us was that we learn how to finish a game. We accomplished that last Saturday against UTRGV. UTRGV led most of the game, but we kept hanging in. We finally swapped back and forth a couple of times in the 2nd half, but we never let UTRGV get any real momentum against us again. Even with bad calls, we won. Who knows, maybe that will mentally help us turn a corner....

Sloppy. Read what I said, and you’ll see nothing was mentioned about FOULS. Tarleton leads the world in fouls. Fouls are our friend! It’s what we do. We scratch, and we claw, and we foul. At least two players foul out of every game. But with those fouls, we also manage to get a turnover or two…or twenty. Dude, when your starting Center is 6’5 and leads the league in rebounds come talk to me about fouls. That chicken sh*t little love tap you showed is just par for the course when you play Tarleton. UTA came into the game thinking they could play our style of ball and your guys ended up getting hurt. You’re not the first team to try it, bud!

Oh my bad. When you said "UTA brings their own refs to Stephenville" you meant they did everything they could except make bad calls, the thing they have the most direct control over. And by bringing "their own refs to Stephenville" you also meant that the refs give a blatant non-call on a play that injured one of the Mavs best scorers.
Got it.

RGV has the players to be formidable for sure. They were scary good against ACU. You guys were certainly one of the fastest teams I have seen. Our Wildcats barely won after having one of our better games for a change. Good job in your OT win, really good.

Thanks to you and wewererebels for your kinds remarks. I do think we're better than our record, and look decent on the court, but we're still not keeping up to the new WAC standard. Maybe if we get past UVU I'll start to hope.
And BTW, that WAC standard has gone way up now that GCU has taken over from NMSU as the "flagship" team. GCU is receiving significant votes in the national polls, can't remember the last time NMSU got to that level.

Was thinking about the WAC the other day. I know the WAC being a MUCH better top to bottom conference is one reason we don't do as well, on a regular basis, as we used to. I am ok with that as much as I gripe. I will never stop pushing our team to be on top. I have high expectations, but I am still very thankful to be in a conference that has elevated itself the way the WAC has.
