yeah it was real nice with them gone... and now they will come back..

I never left. Good to see that Southern Miss fans can talk basketball smack. That's like Rosanne Barr calling Angelina Jolie ugly! lmfao

More like Roseanne Bar calling Bette Midler ugly. They're both ugly, one is just a bit worse, though. lmfao

UofL is having a major down year and is still almost 200 RPI spots ahead of the sorry excuse for a team down in Hattiesburg! Not quite like comparing two ugly chicks! lmfao

Results for UofL with Rick P. against the Beagles
01/11/2005 at Southern Miss Hattiesburg, Miss. ESPN2 W, 107-62
01/07/2004 SOUTHERN MISS FREEDOM HALL WDRB W, 76-42
01/29/2003 at Southern Miss Hattiesburg, Miss. WDRB W, 94-65

Thanks for that stiff competition, it was always nice to have an "off" week when we played USM, & we gladly took a few games against Division II talent that counted in the standings. :owned:

Here's some good laughs from your old coach who knew what was up!

Southern Miss Coach James Green
" They are just a lot better than us. I hate to say it but that's the absolute truth. I wonder if we are in the same league as they are." 1-7-04

As for our last game against the Beagles, here's a gem of a quote from the game story:

"The 45-point margin was the third-worst defeat in Southern Miss history, and was the Golden Eagles' worst loss ever at Reed Green Coliseum." :clap2:

LOL! you had one good year out of about 20, and suddenly you are Duke. LMFAO!!! lmfao lmfao

All it proves is the Big East is the best BB conference in America. Name me one team in CUSA that would finish 7-9 in the league or better (besides Memphis who would finish about 10-6)?
TexanMark, asking a S. Miss fan an intelligent question about basketball is like asking a slug crawling on the ground for driving directions.

I'm not sure slugs would like to be associated with CUSA basketball. 02-13-banana

Louisville and Syracuse both suck this year.

You look like fools talking hoops smack when you're likely
destined for the NIT. (Here's where you tell us about banners
or glory years, just like Ole Miss fans,...yeah yeah blah blah)

And save us the "Pitino will reject the NIT" rhetoric. We all know Pitino
will reject a loss. You'll be scorned either way.

Last year Arkansas played an OOC sched. so soft the entire nation
ridiculed them. I think they turned down the NIT.

Congrats Cards, you're this years hogs.

Enjoy.

Actually I think CUSA basketball has many teams below 100 RPI so I guess you are wrong.

You can have a sub-100 RPI and still be in the top 3rd of basketball teams.

Not so with football. How many of those sub-100 basketball teams have a sub 0.100 record?

If the Cuse played in CUSA last year as bad as they were they would've finished somewhere in the middle of the pack and they would've been near the top in attendance. If Rice played in the Big East--well you already know the answer 04-jawdrop

Truth be known: college basketball is a total joke after the top 100 programs and CUSA have many in the joke category right now.

Rice probably won't be competing in the Big East because of the location...once Graham gets the football going, we're a-heading to the big 12.

None of our teams have a freaking .09% winning percentage. LMFAO!!!! 04-jawdrop So I gues that makes me right. You are really setting yourself up for humiliation by coming here and talking smack, boy.

And Syracuse football is so pathetic, it's not even funny. You didn't even come close to beating a BE team in football, and other than UWV and UL, the BE is worse than CUSA. Run along now, little fella.

Well you did as bad percentage wise and against an easier schedule. Of course it must suck to cram 8,432 people into a 70,000 seat stadium on a regular basis.

Syracuse will be much improved this year--even UCF was improved in year two of a new regime. Teams usually improve alot in year two of a rebuilding plan.

Yes, it is tough to cramp 8,432 people into a stadium of 7,000.

Wow I dropped a zero but you bring up a great point maybe Rice should just play in a 7,000 seat stadium. 02-13-banana

Rice is a beautiful campus when my son and I visited but they need to get a fanbase or drop back to 1AA.

LMFAO!!! Southern Miss has no desire to sink with the BE Lite. You can talk all the smack you like. Water off a duck's back. We are light years ahead of Syracuse. You look like a jealous moron trying to talk smack to a Southern Miss fan.

Yeah Sure

Compare Total victories, National Championships, Top 10 finishes, Bowl Games, Bowl victories, New Year's Day Bowls, TV appearances, Heisman Trophy winners, All Americans, HOF players, winning percentage, stadium size, keep talking

In fact I'm watching Syracuse on National TV right now playing in front of 22,000 or so fans. And USM? I sure love those aluminum baseball bat stories in front of 712 fans.
