If the defense sucks, blame me. This is the first game I've been able to watch in a while.

8-0 Louisiana. Defense been shaky and our offensive struggles against decent teams continue.

Followed immediately by being unable to defend the P&R.

Louisiana is stifling us defensively. Sets not generating any open looks, we can't win 1v1, and they're swatting everything at the rim. 14-5.

17-5 Louisiana at the U12. Complete ass-whooping on both ends so far.

1/13 from the field.

A Dawes 3, a really good Dawes individual defensive possession, and a Fiedler and-1 cuts the Louisiana lead to 20-11.

25-13 Louisiana. The lack of defensive discipline is so alarming. Been way late to 5+ shooters already tonight.

Putrid defense. 7/9 from 3 point range for Louisiana.

I get that Fielder is a good passer, but he needs to take more shots.

Garbage effort.

Well the good news is either LA is cooling off or the Owl defense is improving. 10-19 from 3 pt range for LA in the 1H.

Fiedler and Dawes are a combined 6/9 from the floor. The rest of the team is 2/18 (11%).

What's disappointing is the utter lack of effort, both in allowing open looks on 3s, as well as zero hustle in permitting Louisiana to get so many offensive rebounds.

48-40 Louisiana. Some signs of life, mostly on the offensive end. Generating some better looks.

Now 55-42 - just 16-15 Rice in the 2nd half. That won't do it.

73-60 Louisiana with 3:58 remaining.

84-67 final. Evee and Mason combined for 6/20 with 5 turnovers.

Looking at the schedule, this looks like a 12-19 team.

Ugly game. I have no problems criticizing an effort when I see it in person Terrible perimeter defense in the first half. Horrible rebounding and we allowed them to bully us the whole game. Also, Selden isn’t 100 percent.

About the only bright sign was Dawes had some decent moments. But we have a long way to go before we can be a .500 team in conference.

Could football be the only big 3 team to finish at .500 or above this year?
