Lobos survive in Las Cruces to move to 10-1 on the season. Very entertaining 2nd half it must be said. Great effort from NM St.

Donovan Dent's lay-up to win it for the Cherry & Silver.

Bummer, Terrance Arceneau likely done for the season. Bummer, hurts our depth.

Huge day for the Big Ten!

Michigan State stomps over Baylor and Purdue beats #1 Arizona!

Only Houston, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and James Madison remain (Clemson also loses to Memphis today).

In 8 years sure. Will probably go to the MVC first but I'm sure they'd want to win at least one Summit League title before that happens. Only Year 3 in Division 1.

Good points. I can see this.

Baylor got their arses wupped. It was 45-17 at the half!

Huge, impressive win for Memphis over #13 Clemson. Memphis played without their center.

Thanks, UCGrad. Memphis was actually without both its big men as Jordan Brown is still technically on the team and NaeQuan Tomlin has yet to be officially added to the roster.

I hate to hear TA is out for the season, WHouse. One of the better "off the bench" players in college basketball. It's a blow.

Charge forward, Cougars. And good luck.

Hate it for TA. He was really starting to play pretty well. Thought he had a chance to crack the starting 5 by the end of the year. For the team its next man up but its a definite blow.

Injuries are worse than losing. That impacts someone's well-being.

Losing is part of the game. Losing reveals the character of fans in how they react to it.

On a side note, Purdue Fort Wayne is 11-1 while UNLV lost to St. Mary's. The same UNLV that destroyed Creighton.

I was just looking up Fort Wayne earlier today. They’ve always played in a nice arena that once housed the Pistons, but now they’ve moved half the games to a 1.8k-seat on campus gym.

I've been in that gym. They were IPFW then, with the colors of blue and white. Yes, it's small.

I just went on their website. Looks like they've taken Purdue's black and gold and mixed it with their legacy blue and white. But the gym still has blue seats.

Samford defeats Belmont 99-93 in one of the best games I've seen all season. A track meet from the word go with the hosts pressing for 40 minutes. Samford make it a perfect 9-0 home stand as well with the win. Should be towards the top of the SoCon yet again this season.

Speaking of teams under the radar off to great starts this season, Longwood moved to 11-1 on the season as well and picked up their 11th straight victory defeating Milwaukee on Wednesday. Watched the game on Wednesday night. Top 10 in the nation defensively and you could certainly see why from that game. They go for a nation leading 12th victory on Sunday at home to VMI.

They haven't played a very strong schedule but can't blame them that much when their in state rivals won't play them. Definitely contenders for the Big South title.

You know it has to be bad given the score. Then, you actually see how it gets there. And you can tell NDSU wasn't trying much.

I know we have a separate thread on FIU's utter beatdown of Trinity. I'm more intrigued by that 99-26 thrashing Liberty laid on St. Andrew's. The final five minutes of the first half appear to be the only span where St. Andrew's actually played any sort of game, even if just scoring ten points in the span. It was 38-4 with less than five to play before a 52-14 halftime mark.

USCAA team beat an NAIA team. Clinton College which was a JC but became a 4 year school beat Virgin Island 92 to 90.

North American University defeated Texas College in men's basketball. NAU beat the same school in football as well for their first win.
