And yet somehow the SEC NEVER gets screwed even when their credentials are the worst. Every other conference has been left out at least twice.
Big 10: 2017, 2018
ACC: 2021, 2022, 2023
Big 12: 2014, 2016, 2020, 2021
Pac 12: 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022
The Big 12 had Baylor/TCU left out with 1 loss because no conference champ had two losses and someone had to be left out.
The Big 10 had Ohio State left out with 1 loss because no conference champ had two losses and someone had to be left out.
Every year the Pac 12 champ was left out they had 2 or more losses.
No conference champ before this year was ever left out with 0 losses before.
Also, the SEC has had two teams in 2017 and 2021 (Big Ten 2022, ACC 2020 when Notre Dame was a full member). As for the teams...
2022: 2nd team was 1 loss Ohio State that lost to undefeated conference champion Michigan
2021: 2nd team was 1 loss Georgia that lost to one loss conference champion Alabama
2020: 2nd team was 1 loss Notre Dame that lost to one loss conference champion Clemson (and Notre Dame was the team Clemson lost to).
2017: 2nd team was 1 loss Alabama. They lost to three loss Auburn!
Which team doesn't belong here?
Pac 12 the worst champion? They're out.
Big 12 the worst champion? They're out.
Big 10 the worst champion? They're out.
ACC the worst champion? They're out.
SEC the worst champion? Kick someone else out.
