Why are they wasting time on a bill that accomplishes nothing?

If they really wanted to help Florida St, they’d declare the ACC GOR invalid in the state of Florida.

There's no downside to a Legislator trashing the CFB/NCAA/Big Bad Mean Conference/etc for not giving Hometown U exactly what they want. Not sure that it will go any further than NC Legislators claiming that UNC/NC St are joined at the hip, but should be interesting nonetheless.

Why not do the same for Florida and allow the SEC to go to open market?

If this was Florida Atlantic none of those lawmakers would care. As a fan of a G5 school, I can be both sympathetic and empathetic to Seminole fans. But I didn’t hear any complaints about how the P5 ruled everything (before recent consolidation) when it benefited Florida State so it’s hard for me to feel too bad now.

It’s similar to the Oregon State/Washington State situation. G5 fans have sounded the alarm for years about how the system is unfair and stacked against us. P5 fans don’t care… until they’re the ones on the other side.

Don’t get me started on Florida “lawmakers” as most of what they pass gets blocked in court. They focus on click-bait BS instead of important issues like the homeowner’s insurance crisis here.

The state did proclaim UCF the National Champion in Florida for the 2017 season. Thats pretty much the limit of their power in this kind of situation.

ACC and B12 teams will soon learn, again and again, the great joys of playing in conferences, sub division and divisions below the "big dogs". FSU and the ACC are now considered closer to G5 than P2. Your entire conference slate is not top level. so you are undeserving with your soon to be computer rated (downward) SOS.

Remember the agorithm has no human influences it was created by an unbiased computer without any human help. Unfortunately it will somehow decide everyone in your conference sucks before the season starts.
