Disappointing.
The only time Texas fans should have chanted it was beating Arkansas, Missouri and A&M on their way out the door.
Every SWC team was chanting it the year Arkansas announced they were leaving (except SMU who was just off the death penalty).
I was right there with the Longhorn fans on that.
Between the remarks Yormark made in Lubbock in the offseason, the clarification of the CCG tiebreakers (clear these up before the season, not 3/4 of the way through), and the questionable officiating, we're ready for July 1 and to finally assume that SEC patch.
And we are glad to have you! Yes, it adds to the difficulty, and it will be a heavyweight bout every Saturday, but dang will it be fun and worth the price of admission.

We're looking forward to it. We're getting closer to being ready to compete there.

This situation IMO shows a big flaw in giving bids to conference champs. Since conferences ignore OOC games, you can get a bad 3-loss OK State team that got routed by South Alabama in a CCG.
If Oklahoma hadn’t lost to this garbage team they would be playing today.
Have you watched games played in Stillwater? The calls and non-calls are, in a word, "baffling."
Yes, that is true. Our last two trips to Stillwater have been marred by questionable calls. With that said, we (OU) should be good enough to beat both OSU and the Big 12 refs, and we weren't.
Texas had three close conference games (UH, KSU, TCU) that they were able to win. We weren't able to win two of ours (KU, OSU). That's the difference this year.
We lost two conference games to KU and OSU. Part of our fan base may cry foul over that, but that's what happened. We didn't deserve to play for a Big 12 championship.
We might have given Texas a better game, but it would have been difficult to beat them for a second time.
We got horrendous calls vs. OSU even in Austin.

Give it up Bullet! All three of your listed schools will be SEC, SEC, SEC next year.
Texas isn't going to be rooting for the Pigs, Aggies and Sooners just because they are in the same conference. UGA doesn't root for Auburn or Florida.

As I told a Longhorn buddy and a Sooner buddy at 3:00 today after rooting for Texas in the B12 game, we can go back to hating the Longhorns now.

Against other conference schools? No. Against Big 10 and ACC schools? You bet they do! Against local G5's? No.
