Happy for Rowe getting the shutout.

He was super close to having back to back shutouts if it wasn’t for that questionable high stick goal last night.

Grainger was involved in every goal this weekend.

Western scored 7 goals. Grainger had 2 goals & 5 assists.

They suspended the Denver-Omaha game for bad ice conditions. It'll be resumed on Sunday.

Rowe had a very good weekend. He was a brick wall and can’t be faulted for the great tip in goal. It was close to a high stick and made me wonder if it would have been reversed and called good if it had been waived off initially.

Our PK was great but I wouldn’t want to test that with Denver or NoDak. We were lucky we did not have more than one major.

Also, nice to see our captain have a 7 point series. I agree with others that we don’t have the firepower of the last two seasons but I think we’ll see that improve as the team jells and the news guys step it up a bit.

And the PBP guy! When I have the game on the TV my wife is usually looking at her phone and occasionally looks up to watch a bit. I can’t count the times she said “who is this guy?” or yelled “shut up!” Speaking of counting……….after a while I wished I had been ticking the number of times he made an age reference for Galambos. It’s an interesting point but give it a rest.

Is there an explanation for why we have scheduled Lindenwood for four games? Stonehill and Western are the only teams they play 4 times.

For anybody who didn't see the game, here's the highlights. The announcer calls Galambos goal an "AARP goal." Mock 'em if you can't beat them, I guess.

Our OOC schedule is weak this year, gotta win every game for our pairwise sake.

That CC announcer is a tool and has always been.

Makes me thankful we have a legend like robin hook calling our games.

I still chuckle thinking about the CC announcer a few years back saying something to the effect of "and the Broncos pour off the bench like they just won the Stanley Cup, which the DIDN'T" after we beat them in OT at their place. He so often sounds like a petulant child during their broadcasts.

I turned on the game on in the 2nd & CC got back to back power plays so shut off, thinking they (CC) would win if I continued to listen (A jinks kind of thing). Penalties ongoing issue.
