Football Going Forward
Saw some talk on Twitter that Tuke could be done after this year. Would really suck to start over again after the success we have had and the stadium renovation.

It has been a tough year but I hope Tuke stays and he can right this ship again

Done, as in he's looking elsewhere? Or retirement? I couldn't imagine any other scenarios where he'd leave.

Someone said he has suggested throughout the year he might step away. I personally haven't seen anything like that but who knows.

I've heard from people that his contract negotiations 'didn't go well'. Never heard if there was a happy conclusion or not.

Just another thing one of the newer VPs has destroyed potentially.

RE: Football Going Forward
We will be losing a lot of guys for next year.
Fuhrman, DC Pippin, Eric Ivory, Antonio Taylor, Tony Failla are transferring from what I have seen on X/Twitter today

I think if Tuke wants to turn this around quick he really needs to hit the portal, I Feel like he really hasn't taken advantage of it much

Tuke has said in the past he doesn't like going the portal route if at all possible. But I agree with you. We are losing so many that we need the portal for next year if we are going to be competitive.

I know Tuke likes players working their way up. So thats why we have done the junior college route more than the D1 transfers in the past. We do currently have a few guys that came from D2 or NAIA schools on the roster and we just had a visit this last weekend from an All Conference running back from MO S&T and we have an offer out to a kicker from William Jewell. One of our most successful transfers was DeLuarent and he came from an NAIA school so those kind of transfers can work as well.

Everyone else is using the portal, if Tuke doesn't want to fall behind even more he needs to take advantage of it more

UT Martin has 24 FBS/FCS transfers on their roster. We had 7, two were TEs and two were punters
