Favorite men’s hoops players this year
Now that we’ve had a chance to see the team twice, who are your favorite players? (Wish the team would play exhibitions or charity fundraisers in pre-season instead of closed scrimmages 01-lauramac2)

I’ve got 2 and they are both transfers/free agents finishing their run at JMU. It would be nice to have them for longer, but I will enjoy this season while they are big reasons for the team’s success.

Tim Bickerstaff Jr. - he isn’t the most athletic player, yet he has a lot of veteran savvy to his game and is very effective in the paint on both sides of the ball. He said he added some weight in the offseason so he could be solid as a true big man presence. That is Something JMU hasn’t had and has been sorely missed. Rebounding, interior defense, and paint scoring are huge assets to the team.

MG3 - he is undersized and an underdog which makes me root for him even more. His presence on the floor makes the offense flow so much better than Vado in the past couple of years. MG3 can score some when needed, but his ball movement and dribble drive are bigger parts of a JMU winning formula this year. He has basketball IQ
