Looks like 7 teams bowling, 8 with JMU.

You forgot Texas State. The Sun Belt has six bowl eligible teams. They're probably going bowling for the first time this year and they just notched their 6th win against a potentially scary Georgia Southern team.

RE: Week 10 Bowl Projections
With JMU only getting a bowl of there are still spots available after all 6-6 teams are picked, I would think Troy will get the top bowl spot (whatever that is). If Louisiana gets to six they will get NOLA Bowl.

I hope that doesn't mean JMU would get paired with a 5-7 team. JMU / JSU makes a lot of sense though.

I don't believe NOLA will use its first pick obligation this year. They typically save that for when ULL is good.
And no, the rule is that normally eligible SBC teams must be placed first.

New Orleans does NOT have the #1 pick. That goes to ESPN for a matchup of their choosing. New Orleans,, which is not an ESPN owned bowl, has the second selection. If the SBC and CUSA champions are both available, my guess is that will be the matchup.

It'll be interesting. In theory they and Jax St would get picked over any 5-7 team. Then if they still needed to fill spots and no Indy teams qualified, then a 5-7 team could be picked. Likely a P5 team.
