I said in the Week 8 thread that this was the hardest week left because the better teams were all on the road. It was a bloodbath out here.

I think this took out 6 of 8 remaining teams.

I'm kicking myself for.not sticking with my gut (Southern Miss) and going with the safe play (Louisiana)

I haven't looked at the games coming but the first thing I noticed is I had not picked Troy. Ill take a look. Just playing to be here next week. Not looking further ahead than that. Good luck to you.

So, things get strange this week:

Osage has yet to pick Troy which faces last placed ULM this week.

Saint has yet to pick JMU which faces UCONN this week.

However If they both do that they both lose access to the top teams in the league heading into a week where a team neither has picked in Georgia State has to play at LSU. That leaves Georgia Southern as the best option for both against ODU, though Saint could pick ODU as well.

Neither JMU or Troy have free weeks the next to last week of the year with road games at tough places to play. And the available options this week aren't great either.

I think I will go with Georgia Southern. Saint...I planned which probably means I am dead meat!

Looks like we’ll both pick GS. That’s boring for the community so what do you say we open it back up for round two and restart? If you make it further in round two I’ll consider you the champ for round 1.
