I'm hoping for something during our Liberty game that there will be hints door #3 is likely. After both, Delaware and UMass football seasons are over.

That would be pretty cool and very welcomed. The 11/18 game would coincide with the end of Delawares season. It would be a good day to announce that both UMass and UD will join CUSA for the 2025 season. Maybe it’ll come in mid December at the beginning of bowl season.

As a fan waiting 8 long years, hate to get my hopes up to much. Be very happy to say we are interest or in contact with CUSA. Not to committal, but good smoke signs.

Or the MAC.

They could also join the MAC.

That is not happening if CUSA is an option. Preference is solidly for CUSA.

Nothing new to see here.

Just have to wait on some significant source to give an indication one way or the other.

UMASS's ESPN relationship/contract will help a little if trying to add UMASS. The CUSA media contract could easily assimilate the deal they have now---which is minimal--but still worth noting.

My main point is that it's Helpful that they have a relationship with ESPN.

It is not helpful. That is why they want them. And that is why they will run the league if they get in.

This is our current ESPN Football and bowl access with ESPN 2022-24. This year Toledo was selected for ESPNU and UConn is a possibility. Believe Stony Brook was the only game on ESPN3. Mostly ESPN+ and a few ESPNU. Notice Liberty is ESPN+ for our game.
Quote: In totality, this agreement, and ESPN's relationships with the Atlantic 10 and Hockey East provides UMass fans with one consistent central media home for Massachusetts athletics content for the foreseeable future."

ESPN will provide live coverage for all five of the program's 2022 home games, with the home opener against Stony Brook aired on ESPN3, while the remainder of the home contests are subject to the standard 12-day selection process throughout the season to stream on ESPN3 or ESPN+. In the 2023 and 2024 seasons, at least one home game will be televised on ESPN networks in addition to streaming.

"We are excited to showcase Massachusetts home football games exclusively on ESPN platforms in the years ahead through this multi-year agreement, "said Dan Margulis, ESPN senior director of programming and acquisitions. "Between this new collaboration and our deals with the Atlantic 10 and Hockey East, ESPN networks will be the go-to for UMass fans."
