Attendance
Has reached the embarrassing level. Well done, STF.

RE: Attendance
The attendance kind of sucked but it was not a good game to be at because of the wind and at times a light drizzle!

Our attendance is really an issue, but the SIU attendance does need some context- they basically played their Super Bowl against SD State, ranked #1 in FCS and champions last year riding a 21 game winning streak. Not looking it up, but also would bet it was a perfect weather day at SIU vs our tough conditions.

I used to worry and get all bent on attendance, but have mostly let it go and just enjoy each game. As a diehard I just cant understand why more people do not go, and I include the MacTion weekday games which I think are an absolute blast. I appreciate those who do go, cheers to you.

RE: Attendance
Our TV attendance looked similar to the other G5 games I tuned into. It comes down to reporting, and their is a wide gap in accuracy and reporting methods amongst FBS schools I believe. (i.e. EMU counting the 1000's of tickets that Pepsico buys each game that nobody uses...)

Would love to see a few thousand more for each game at NIU though. That starts with NIU getting a new effective president to take us back up from 15,000 enrollment to over 20,000 again. Freeman sucks with her failing race-hyper-sensitive enrollment tactics that are emaciating the university. A new NIU president and AD seems like a reasonable Christmas wish...

Great post. Exactly, our attendance is poor but still seems better than any other MAC team. But yes, we need Freeman out and to build back enrollment overall. Very disappointing

Oh, okay. Looking across the field at the student section I can report maybe a hundred students, certainly less than 200 students. Not counting band members who seemed to make up the majority on that side of the field!
So 9258 on my side of the field? I saw a long stretches of rows with empty seats. Whatever. Being generous I'd say a couple thousand on my side.

I got an idea. Why not require all graduates to attend one game a year.

You and what army of lawyers?

Why not quit ignoring the majority of fans including students and see if letting them know they're alive works? How many times have you seen STF walk through the grandstands maybe once each game? You know, smiling and saying thanks for coming, great to see ya?

Can you say this, “ failing race-hyper-sensitive enrollment tactics that are emaciating the university”, a different way so I can understand what you mean?

Agreed. Alumni have no school spirit or loyalty. STF has zero control over this.

Sorry---there was nowhere near that number in Huskie Stadium on Saturday. Not even close.

RE: Attendance
The other thing for TV is the cameras point towards the East Stands. Not that the West Stands were anywhere near full yesterday, but when I have been at the stadium the last few years much more people on the West.

SIU Game the West Stands would have looked straight up good compared to most G5.
