Go Wave!

What's wild is that we're one Tulane slip up away from the NY6 going to CUSA...

If Liberty gets the NY6 does that mean CUSA is the best G5 conference?

No, it would mean they are the best G5 school despite CUSA (the penultimate worse league). It is like a fast horse winning a race when burdened with extra weight.

RE: NY6 Bowl Race after Week 10
I hope Tulane wins and Liberty gets destroyed by an AAC team, a good Sun Belt or Toledo.
Just looked at their schedule and their OOC was one 7-5 MAC team, one 3-9 MAC Team, one 6-6 Sun Belt team and 3-9 UMASS.

If they would have played and beat UVA or Virginia Tech like years past, I would give them the benefit of the doubt, but they literally played worst SOS - 133.
Now that I am thinking about it, let them play Toledo 132 SOS in a bowl game. If Toledo wins today, let the 12-1 MAC champ play the 13-0 CUSA champ.
One reason why I am glad to be out of CUSA, is the champ of the past few seasons usually played the Sun Belt champ or MAC Champ in a bowl game - no matter the record.

That’s probably who they will end up playing this year.

LOL, there many teams who have used their pre-game time in New Orleans exactly that way.

Once upon a time, there was a Sugar Bowl between Georgia and Arkansas. The Bulldogs were 8-0-2 (this was the pre-Overtime era) and favored. But the morning of Game Day, the whole team was wasted and lost to the Hogs.

RE: NY6 Bowl Race after Week 10
Lots of people on here forgetting Toledo and Liberty's strength of schedule, our past record of jumping teams as a conference, and that the Ponies bought their way into the club, all of which point to the obvious, SMU wins and they are in. Probably one spot in front of Liberty who even with playing the best team on their schedule NMST twice still came in dead last in SOS.

Doubt Toledo and Liberty will be playing, I would expect one to get the SBC champ.and the other gets James Madison.
