JMU at Marshall - Pre-game Thread
This is huge....let's hope they have a knockdown dragout with the Panthers, delayed flight home, and awful short week of practice

Purple - 37
Green - 24

RE: JMU at Marshall - Pre-game Thread
Our backs should have a very good Thursday night as The Herd allows nearly 200 yards rushing per game. Ga State may very well beat them tonight. Despite only one loss, Marshall doesn't appear to be as good as their 4-1 record indicates, squeaking by Albany by four points (21-17) at home to start the season and beating VT by 7. Of course, I guess they could say the same about us only beating UVA by a single point.

The timing of tonight’s Marshall game is perfect. JMU can watch their next opponent live and then study old game video tomorrow.

JMU has a short week, but so does Marshall and they won’t get home until Sunday.
The Dukes have a great chance to pull a road upset and get revenge 2.0

I still say today’s game and the Marshall game make or break us. Obviously we TCB today in big fashion, and I’m feeling better about Thursday, but Marshall is good. They beat a VT team that it turns out isn’t all bad. They should have beaten NC State, and that was in Raleigh.

Road wins on short rest are tough, period.

7-0 with a win on ESPN sure would raise more eyebrows.

Our team has beat teams better than VT. We win. We roll the herd.

What’s up with Palmer? He should have gotten some reps in the 4th qtr today. As we saw last year, we might need more than 1-2 RBs for a whole FBS season. I really liked him and he is talented enough to use in specific situations. To shelf him as much as has been the case, there has to be a deeper reason.

Cig didn’t play reserves on offense. He still thinks this offense isn’t playing up to its potential and he would be correct. But I wanted to see reserves in there so they could get some valuable reps in game situations. Would have been nice to see Barnett get snaps too since he needs some experience. Not to mention that this game was in hand and players on the 2 deep could have been injured senselessly

The reserve D-line got to play.

I don’t know that we have, but right now GSU is making Marshall look terrible.

He has. They aren’t protecting him. He’s mobile so he tries to extend the play with his feet and is getting popped.

Announcers on GSU v Marshall game gushing about our team and "power 5" level defense.

Also said SBC is clearly the top G5 conference.
