I'm still surprised Miami was only favored to win by 8.5pts. I expected it to be about what it was -- 13pts. Anything below 10 would be a solid step too low.

I figured OU was a bit overrated. I think it has been clear that Miami is the beat MAC team (as of now), but NIU can beat anyone. They play to the level of competition.

Rourke couldn't do anything against our defense but quick slants and short passes. All his deep balls were pretty much intercepted. This NIU defense is the best yet under Hammock regime.

Well if you’re gonna have a weird slogan at a MAC school, might as well be WMU. I liked what I saw from Lance Taylor’s team today though, definitely a lot better than expected this season.

Thanks, good luck rest of the way. You guys still have a good season ahead of you. NIU is digging out of a deep hole just to get bowl eligible. We needed to get the monkey off our back and end that 7-game home losing streak.

NIU really peeved someone at MAC HQ with getting last season's MAC West and East division winners for games 1 & 3 of conference play.

UT also lost to a mediocre Illinois team while Miami’s loss is to a top 25 Miami.

Agreed though, league is wide open. I figured UT would hammer BSU but anything can happen.

BG now has a decent path to bowl eligibility if they can beat teams they’ll be favored against. But when has recent BG done a dang thing that made a lick of sense?

NIU has a chance to win out and finish strong.
