Game Notes - Ohio
Changes - Grayson Barnes gets the start for the injured Rut, Evan Malcore is listed as or with Drew Hoth at Left Tackle, Chad Brown is listed as the starter at Safety.

Is Evan Buss not healthy or they just not happy with his play at LT? Malcore is a freshman, they must be impressed with him.

I assume you meant CJ Brown at safety.

Since Donna and staff never know or care about NIU's past, long-time women's basketball fans will want to visit Mission Grove between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to check out Your Sister's Tomato, the wood-fired pizza truck run by Hall of Famers Lisa Foss and Tammy Hinchee. In addition to their Woodstock restaurant, this is one of three food trucks they operate that have been hired by the Chicago Bears preseason camp, various county fairs, private events, and store openings. Mike Korcek has a Facebook post on the successful alums finally coming to town.

Thanks for the update, that's good to know. Can never have too much pizza.

Looking at the depth chart, how long has it been since we have had 4 corners who you would consider good?

I mean we give hammock **** for recruiting, but these corners are good and hammock deserves a hat tip for that.

Were they good to begin with and the defensive scheme was just that bad? So far the difference is quite substantial compared to previous years. But I guess we'll get a better idea after the game against Ohio.

Agreed. The only thing I would like to see more of is a DB jumping some routes for picks. We were spoiled for a while with a few DBs with a nose for interceptions and this week that could really change the game.

I would argue they were young. Well, not Byrd. No idea what was going on with him. He isn’t 12 yards off the WR though, so that helps I bet.
