Me too. He started slow but picked it up. A key play in the game was the dropped pass by our best receiver that went straight to the Tulane defender. Was an absolute killer.

Seth did take a big sack that put us out of FG range towards the end of the game. It happens.

He does need receivers that can separate for sure. He’s missing that big play guy. Roc has been good and Blankumsee has really been so much better lately. We really miss a good TE and a dude that can separate.

This was the exact moment the momentum shifted, and we never recovered.

It was a really key play. The game had turned into a “last team with the ball wins” game. That put us back 2 scores and put us in a tough spot. I thought the nut punch hurt too. Would have been 3rd and 9. It let Tulane run off more time. We made key mistakes in the 4th and Tulane didn’t.

Anyway, that one’s over. Hope we regroup. UAB could easily beat us. UAB, SMU, and UNT are the toughest games left.

Tell your brother that Tulane was the best team last year also

I think you missed the point.

Tulane fans might have said the same thing about us a few years ago.

Just a couple of minutes ago we were playing in the Cotton Bowl and in a blink we have people saying it is an ok loss because Tulane out talents us, is the better team, blah blah blah...

How did RS let that happen?

The game changed with the new transfer portal and NIL. No way we have that 2019 roster if the rules were what they are now.

They are blinded on the facts.

Who is they?

Sounds like you two have given up, might as well shut the program down right now, we will never be able to compete again... is that what you are saying?

Accepting the reality that the transfer portal and NIL have completely turned recruiting upside down isn't giving up. It's called being honest and understanding that circumstances have changed. Recruiting and retaining high level talent will become more difficult than ever for "non-power" programs.

Does this mean the Tigers should give up? That's one heck of a leap you're making. Are you pretending that we were ever in contention for a National Championship? No matter what the "power" conferences are doing, we can still strive to win our own conference and make a quality bowl game. Same as it ever was.

I know this has been commented on but why don't we used the roll out to avoid the rush. We've gone completely away from the plays that put pressure on the CB to come up to defend the roll out or cover the back or slot going to the side lines (which becomes a swing pass if the CB commits to stop the roll out. Every obvious passing down seems to be a drop back & SH is getting hammered even if he gets off the throw. SH seems mobile enough to make the rollout options work.
