I love your optimism. At the end of the year I hope I eat everything I said at the beginning of the season.

The best thing to happen is for Hammock and the boys to be successful. If Hammock rocks it out, leaves and gets a new job. This only progresses the formula of NIU being the stepping stone to bigger things. For coaches and for players.

I pray I am proven wrong and we only get better. Let's do this.

I'm oddly optimistic for the conference season if...and it's a big IF...Hammock leaves Lombardi on the bench and uses a combination of a QB who he'll allow to throw the ball down the field and Justin Lynch.

I feel, with our defense, if we can maintain some semblance of possession on offense and score roughly 24 points a game, we'll compete for the division.

The Huskies need to adopt the 1983 White Sox motto of winning ugly! We have a good defense but we need to put our offense together in some way! Good luck Saturday!

Perfect and great movie clip. Now if only Hammock will go with lots of Lynch running. Like Childers with occasional pass. Can’t be much worse than we have seen so far. Lynch was in the post game presser. Makes me think we will see more play from him.

Nice to have new life this weekend with the start of the MAC season. If somehow we can pull off a win it will change the entire narrative of the season at least for one week. Personal goal is to somehow pull off 5 MAC wins and get into a Bowl game. Feels like a stretch at this time, but it is college football and it is a crazy game. It all starts with the O line taking more control of the game, they have the talent to do it.

We have to early get Rudolph involved, design several plays with him getting the ball on the run and let him do his thing.

Honestly, this year has done such a head scratcher. Need a Huskie win in the worse way.
