RE: 100 years of Nip at Night
I’m now on campus getting ready to see a most awesome game under the lights.
Urban va. Rural - I have degrees from both types of schools. At one time, I even tried to move to Bloomington, Indiana.
Which is better? Personal preference, but I prefer.urban. The profs are more likely to have ongoing, real-world experience. There’s more to do, the experience is so much more dynamic, more diverse, more interesting.
Small-mid sized college towns are nice, but they are stifling. They are detached. Urban schools are the future.

A healthy Conference will feature a variety of "types" of schools and settings. That's what makes things interesting.

Apparently, OK State didn’t like playing under the lights tonight. Not sure what UC’s excuse was.

no excuses here.... we got a total beat down.
We might have a chance @ISU next Sat because they lost so many to gambling, but it's yet to be seen.
What we found out this week... Az State is very bad, OSU is bad.
Our new 3-3-5 defense can't stop anybody with a half decent rushing attack, and USA had a good powerful attack.
We also confirmed that we are a very good team at 3-n-out. Our punters are getting a lot of esperience!

Even Tommy Tuberville never lost to Miami. Satterfield made horrible red zone calls, the defense was not ready at many snaps. No wonder Loserville was happy to see him go.

They Miami (Ohio), were UC’s equivalent to our Memphis. But for Obarski’s missed field goal we’d still be on a double digit win streak against them.

Not even close to being true.
Cincy/Miami(OH) series is tied: 60-60 Tied
UCF/Memphis series is lopsided: 15-2 UCF leads
Cincy went on a 16-game win streak in the series to finally pull ahead in the series in 2022 but now they retract to a series tie.
UCF's equivalent would be ECU. Where ECU had a huge series lead on us, we came back to tie it up. Then in our final year in the AAC, UCF loses. Now every time I look at Winspedia, I see the ECU series starting at me 11-10 ECU leads for the foreseeable future.

UC and Miami are about 45 minutes apart - it would be a shorter drive, but there's only one, one lane road into Oxford, and you usually get behind a tractor. Its an old rivalry of, almost, neighborhood schools. UC didn't look prepared, and it's Miami's super bowl. Hats off to Miami. But, all schools have games like this. Hey, UCF made its fiedl goal at Boise, UC missed it's against Miami.
I don't know how to post / add images, but I remember the Disney Univ / UCF image that UC put out a few years ago, after beating ucf. It was way more creative.
