I am very interested in this game as I am 30 miles from Ames. You guys are going to have a real chance to win as ISU had to kick their starting QB Hunter Dekkers off the team due to his gambling problems. Their current QB Rocco Becht will not scare you. Is Rourke back in the lineup? I think it is great that your AD is bringing a P5 school to your stadium. I think you guys are catching the Cyclones at the right time and...will pull it out! Go MAC! Good luck.
Yes, Ohio is good at doing home and home against against other FBS teams.
Ohio visited Iowa State in 2022.

Yep. Ohio got spanked last year. Very cool of ISU doing a home and away. Eastern usually does an away and away and away and away and away with P5 teams.
That's probably a good thing as Rynearson is in no condition to host a game with more than 10K people in attendance.
Then do it at Ford Field.
Ford field wants to much of the gate money.

Lot of truth to these posts.
EMU would lose money on a Ford Field game. Tried it when Bob England was acting AD.
And, of course, with the east stands unavailable,, it would be a money loser at Rynearson.
Parking, concessions, etc. Yikes.

Dear Bob,
Have to disagree with you. Has it needed maintenance? Yes, like any stadium through the years, and it was/is up to the university administration for upkeep.
It has not been made clear what may be the problem with the East stands. If it is structural, that's a shame, because the East stands are almost a quarter of a century newer than the West stands.

If Wetherbee doesn't adjust and have the TV cameras pointing towards the west stands, you know, where actual human beings are located, we will look so bad, even worse than normal. It will be embarrassing for the university.

If the east side stands are closed for the foreseeable future, at a minimum, we need tarps covering them. It looks very bad from the TV perspective, and the comments on the video below prove as much.

Going out on a limb! They are playing at the #20 team in the nation and against possibly the second QB taken in the upcoming draft. And yet, their defense is good enough where they will probably be able to stay in the game and have a chance to win.

I’m just not convinced that UofM has a good passing game. Good coaches may load the box or once UofM plays B1G teams who can apply pressure on their QB, the passing game will be ineffective.
At any rate, I predict UofM finishes 6-6

Huge pet peeve. We lose in every phase of the game to a team and you give them no credit and say they are not very good. What you're essentially saying is "We f***ing suck!" How about you tip your hat and move on. These statements don't help Eastern Michigan University or potential recruits in any way, shape, or form. Sheeeesh.

LOL - you’re extrapolating and reaching for a big stretch. Like others, I thought our defense played well and our QB didn’t.

FWIW the MAC sucks this year. EMU’s loss to MIN was almost identical to our loss at MSU. Same with WMU and IOWA today. The big boys up front take over and that’s why you saw all 3 MAC teams do nothing in the 2nd half.

Ohio RobertCats making angry 3-1 noises. Though they lost to a not very good SDSU team.

Losing to Northwestern? I thought PJ had it going on there and I was obviously wrong. The Peter principle appears to be revealing itself in his situation.

As predicted, UofM will finish 6-6 at best. If they do finish 0.500 along with WMU that would be a fun bowl matchup.
