I not so sure about that. He never really had any time to throw. We won't be going against a defense as fast as FSU probably for rest of our lives. I think he will be fine against normal teams.

To further break it down, they do not have the experience to have the players fully prepared for the hell they’re walking into. I’m also going to assume you wanted further clarification on recruiting. Prefer not calling out individual players. Can only recommend watching the players and not the ball. You’ll easily identify.

I wasn’t one who had my black and gold goggles on. There wasn’t any doubt the outcome. But admittedly thought we’d represent ourselves in a much more positive way.

Yeah you’re right on! That Brian Kelly dude is another DII coach I assume because he wasn’t prepared and got his ass handed to him and his portal recruits. I would tell you not to be ridiculous but it’s to late. .

We had more false starts in the first quarter than LSU had total penalties in their entire game vs. FSU.

Again, I can handle getting whupped by a superior roster. That’s going to happen. The problem here is isn’t what FSU did to us, it’s all the things we did to ourselves. Play that sloppy and undisciplined again, and a team far worse than FSU will hand us our butts just the same.

You also gotta think our QB carousel the past few years hasn’t helped in terms of on-field leadership and a calming presence in the huddle.

Have to agree with you. He’s only started two games, one against SWAC and one against possibly best team in the nation. FSU was up his tail all night. No clue who could have good stats with the pressure he was getting.

Tulane game should give us a better idea of this team. Our initial opponents simply doesn’t provide the opportunity to figure it out. One extreme to another.

I hate the buy games in general. Adds insult to injury when the refs are helping a team that doesn't need help run up the score. Can't we schedule the buy games to be at P5's who don't have legit playoff chances?

Anyway people need to stop melting down. Should've played better, should've had less penalties, yadda, yadda, I also believe we should have never been playing this game in the first place.

Agreed. But when we scheduled Fsu, they were in very bad shape. Never want to play Bama again until they start sucking. Never Tenn- cheaters. There are plenty P5 money game teams out there that aren't potential Nat Champs that we can schedule.

We played FSU in a down year at the Independence Bowl and they put it on us. To succeed against P5 programs at their place, you have to have a competent QB who can stay cool under pressure. Wiles looked flustered most of the night.

That’s a valid point. I like Hall as our HC, but when you look at his resume’, arguably, the biggest game he ever coached in was the AAC Championship at UCF in 2018. There’s no comparing that to playing #4 in Tallahassee. Even Bower had to grow into the job a bit, and he had a year in the Big 8 under his belt.

The excuses are getting wilder and wilder 04-cheers The last time FSU hit 66 was against Delaware St...just think, "We Are Delaware St"

You’re an idiot.

How did my wife get on here?

But really my friend, that all ya got?

Can confirm from Atlanta. I was at a bar last night and FSU/Southern Miss was on perhaps 20 TV screens simultaneously. I suppose any publicity is good publicity.

I hope I did USM fans proud by explaining it's the alma mater of Brett Farve when a fella in my group asked about Southern Miss.

In the 3rd and 4th we were playing their scrubs and he did often have time. He made some throws during that period, but he also made several terrible throws, where he threw when his balance was off and there was no one pressuring him. Hopefully they were just in his head and he'll play better against lesser teams' DLs.

From personal experience I can say a blowout loss to FSU equated to 3 wins that season. We even had it down to a 4 point game midway through the 2nd and 11 point game at half too. The Dalvin Cook lead rushing attack gashed us for 6.5 yards/carry. Not quite like the 8.3 YPC that the semenholes managed Saturday but comparable. FSU had just played in the semifinal the season prior.
