JMU Bucknell Recap
It doesn't look like anyone started a game thread, so I'll just add a post-game recap.
In short, pour one out for the end of the Alonza Barnett era. He was 3 for 11 for 15 yards and in interception through partway through the second half, even with adequate time to throw.
McLoud (the P5 transfer) took over and moved the team up and down the field. Then, the other transfer came in during garbage time and moved the team, as well, so Barnett is probably number 3 or 4 now.
The running game and offensive line was good most of the game.
The defense was off the first half. We held them to 3 points, but were a step slow and left some holes. In the second half, though, the defense closed holes and tackled well, just like last year.
Keeping things positive, a wake-up call within a win can be a good thing.

Worst (intentionally chosen) starter I've seen in my 25 years of watching JMU football. Routinely threw 8+ feet over the heads of his receivers in the end zone.

JMU Bucknell Recap
Bad news? That start was “What? This is the best of the bunch?”
Good news is no, McCloud did pretty well and (we were flipping around) #3 looked solid enough as well.
And now with actual live game film they can address the “issues”, I didn’t see anything that relatively small adjustments can’t fix.
We’ll be fine. We’ve been mostly fine for 20 years. The players are there, I believe the coaches are there. I believe Cig addressed it pretty directly in the post game on field interview.
No worries.
RIP Jimmy Buffet, you’ll be missed.

I’ll reserve full judgement until after the UVa game next week, but I saw a lot to be worried about, not just at qb.

Yeah I'd agree. There are plenty of times though where a team doesn't blow out an FCS like they should and they end up fine. That's not what we're used to at JMU, but maybe some first game jitters, maybe taking Bucknell lightly, whatever.
Definitely a game that leaves me much less confident than I was going in, but the next two weeks we'll find out.

There was a lot not to like in that game.
We'll need to up our play big time to compete over the next 4 weeks.
