2026
Is it possible these recent matters might be interconnected?
- Florida State shaking its spear about its untenable future in the ACC
- Arizona, Arizona State and Utah debating whether to jump to the Big XII or try to salvage the Pac-9
- An official B1G statement confirming orchestrated leaks of talks with Oregon, Washington, Cal and Stanford are, indeed, accurate
The SEC, B1G, FOX, ESPN and their fast-rising junior partner led by a New York wheeler-dealer will be free to redesign and revamp the College Football Playoff to their liking (i.e. advantage) beginning with the 2026 season.
It behooves all five parties to have every piece of that puzzle in place and ready to go by '26
Can they get it done?
What might be the next moves or tactical maneuvers in the Great Re$huffle?

I'm sure that would be a great plan just can't see it happening with GOR standing in the way for another decade. Wow, that was such a poor move by ACC heavyweights.

I am told the ACC already knows what the TV increase is and of course it is less than the Big & SEC, however it is pretty big bump, before you add CFP/NCAABB payout, and ACC Network dollars.

They can't know what the increase is for 2026 b/c that contract hasn't been negotiated yet. They know about the increase for 2024/25 when the CFP jumps from 4 teams to 12.
