The remaining 4C would be doing self-immolation by agreeing to any pays per subscription model. The only question is how ugly do they want to make this, because I don't think BY is ****ing around anymore. He wants to move on to other things and Fox can take out their pro-rata at any moment.

Quote:n March of this year, Arizona President Robert Robbins told Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports that a heavy streaming deal would not be accepted.

If so, the newly formed tripartite will join Colorado at their new home. The delay now is determining the best way to leave.

So why haven't the 4C schools all announced their departure already?

My guess is Fox is still withholding pro-rata from Utah/ASU. But if there is some hard deadline, they really have to verbally commit this week. My guess is the hard deadline could be a couple weeks from now.

I don't expect the Big 12 to add any full members though alongside CU, so the deadline could be indefinitely extended. However, Fox probably want UO and UW in the B1G by the '24 season so there is incentive to give the remaining 4C a hard deadline.

My speculation:
1. President Roberts changed his mind, or
2. Need more time to determine how to depart, or
3. Big 12 not ready yet from a media deal perspective to immediately invite all three and AZ stands by their pledge to not go alone.

When will he be fired? You gotta expect it to be coming.

Maybe everyone stays put in the conference but gives him a pink slip.

Money-wise, there is only one guaranteed spot left.
