My friend wants to bet on Michigan. I’m telling him not to touch that game. What say you ECU fans?

I’ve watched ECU from a distance, and they are a team that will easily cover that and then lay random mid season eggs against weak teams.

ECU play up to big teams. This should be in the 24ish range. 35 is too high.

It’s hard to say ECU has a lot of talented but inexperienced pieces on offense. They have the potential to keep it close, but if things go wrong it could be worse than 35. My leaning is that we will cover that line.

We have been a cover machine over the past 2 years, but it's a complete crapshoot this year.

I wouldn't normally bet against Michigan to cover with us breaking in a brand new QB. With spreads over 30, however, it really just depends on whether the favored team wants to wrap up and get out of there.

I see an Alabama-type situation in this one. Michigan is probably more likely to cover in the first half than the end.

I don't know, we replace 9 starters on offense and five on defense which includes both corners and the entire LB'ing unit. All of our Dline is back and I do think our corners have the chance to be a big defensive improvement with some snaps under their belt. First games can be crazy and on the road at the Big House none the less. Wager at your own risk!!

With all due respect to Michigan fans, some of them are quite snooty (and for good reason). I’ve had conversations with a few that are less snooty and have told them this: that line is absurd.

The changes with the clock and first downs alone will keep this one closer than that, if Mike Houston does what I think he’ll do. I don’t think that Michigan will be able to get ahead by that much for that reason alone unless we turn the ball over quite a bit.

This rule change is a HUGE deal and is very good for less talented teams. Skip Holtz would be salivating were he coaching in the ranks of the G5 right now LOL.

Michigan should win this game… but the real line should be set at 24 and even then I might pick the Pirates to cover.

If ECU doesn't turn it over I seriously doubt my Pirates lose by 35 points.

If I had any faith in our QB situation I'd view it as a pretty easy cover. Since I don't have that faith I wouldn't touch this.

I would love to say we cover but I can see why the spread is that large. On offense alone we have to replace our top 3 receiving leaders, QB, 4 out of 5 OL and our best running back. That's a whole lot to replace and I don't know how good we are at QB since our coaching staff never really gave our backups reps the past few years. I would feel better if we had a few games under our belts before this one but we will see.
