Set to become the first HBCU with a hockey team, with a goal of making it to NCAA D-1 in the next decade. Love it.

Hopefully it works out. The Preds seem to have a lot of support for TSU and it would be great to get another college team from a non-major football conference into hockey.

I agree. I would like to know how much the NHL is contributing to this effort. This would be a first for the league.

And yes, the eternal balance of power in college hockey needs to remain with non Big Time Power College Football schools.

The Preds and the NHL are both helping to fund this through their Hockey is For Everyone programs.
