MyBB 2023 NBA Draft Thread
[Image: NBA_Draft.png]

This used to be a big deal for the ACC - and league teams used to dominate this draft. This year, CBS Sports projects only 5 ACC draftees, with only 2 in the first round (both from Duke). Not good for what used to be the clear #1 MBB conference.

TWO CAN PLAY THAT GAME

...and they play it pretty well, too!

Congratulations to the 2 Hurricanes mentioned above, also the 2 Dukies and (surprise!) Hunter Tyson of Clemson!

Q: What will become of NC State's Terquavion Smith?

He signed a two-way deal with Philadephia

When was the last time only three ACC schools had a player drafted (Duke, Miami, Clemson)?

RE: 2023 NBA Draft Thread
It could be a combination of things that have caused the MBB quality to drop. We are still feeling the results of Covid where players that came out of HS then didn’t develop as much as one’s pre Covid era . Several Hall of Fame coaches retired or fired and recruiting was disrupted, then extra years allowed because of Covid and players entered the portal as well as what I feel is the NIL somehow takes the Hunger from some players that otherwise might have put a lot more effort into improving their game. My Cardinal’s were a prime example of lack of hustle last season.
