Double Elimination
As I sit and watch some of the College Baseball playoffs, I ponder how much fun a double elimination hockey tournament would be for the NCAA.

RE: Double Elimination
People playing 3-4 hockey games in 3-5 days would be madness. Baseball works because players stand and sit around most of the time.

RE: Double Elimination
I agree on that but 3 games in 5 days might be within reach. Make 6…3 team pods not 4…4 team Gives the one seed a bigger advantage, gets 18 teams in instead of 16. Super regionals are 2…3 team pods….then a best of three series for the championship.

The top (host seeds) would advance most often. Selfishly, WMU has played better on the road than home in post season recently
