ESPN announcing 2023 bowl lineup (dates & kickoffs) today at 2 p.m. ET.

Also, the game times and networks for first three weeks will be announced as well.

The fact that the SBC Championship could be on ABC says a lot to years past about where we stand IMO.

Another major note: outside of those poor losers in Lafayette and Hattiesburg, all non Saturday games will be on ESPN or ESPN2.

See, ESPN knows that we and the Cajuns will drive viewers to an otherwise relatively obscure channel.

I like the new 1:15pm New Orleans Bowl start time.

8:15pm kick with the family was tough and the area around the Super Dome was a ghost town after the game.

The state of Alabama gets all it's glory on Saturday Dec 23

11 am CST - Birmingham bowl
11 am CST - Montgomery bowl
6 pm CST - Mobile bowl


on a separate note the first 2 Saturdays of bowl season is full blown
Saturday Dec 16th there's 7 bowl games (6 plus the FCS bowl in Atlanta)
Saturday Dec 23rd there's 7 bowl games (all FBS ones)

Now it'll be a ghost town BEFORE the game..everyone still nursing hangovers.. what about like 2:30-4?

I guess we'll find out if more linear games as part of the revised deal is legit or not. Probably won't know until the 12 day window picks come out.

So the JMU @ Troy game now has a time of 7pm EST/6pm CST but TV is TBA. Looking at the ESPN linear networks, they are all full for that evening. If it was an ESPN+ game it would seem they would just go ahead and say that. Looking like more NFL Network games this year?

Could be. We had Marshall at home on the NFL Network around that same time in the season.

We should have more ESPN linear network games this year, according to the release from last year about the SBC's expanded media deal.

This game could very well wind up on the NFL Network though. Which is fine also.

The best part while MWC and AAC were enjoying their CCGs on Fox and ABC (national prime-time networks) we were relegated to CCGs on the same channel as MAC and SWAC

I kinda wanna see SB bump AAC off the ABC broadcast for the championship. The forums would descend into pure chaos.
