Remember, NCAA uses short courses (25 yards) and not long course (50 m).

If your pool was designed prior to 1996, 25 yards and at least 5 lanes fulfills the short-course recommendation.

I wonder if USM will give it a go. Our natatorium meets the criteria (and also has a diving well). Seems like it’d be a relatively inexpensive sport to add. The rec sports department maintains the pool anyway.

I was wondering the same, as well if the natatorium would be suitable. I remember the natatorium back when I was there in college................many years ago.
would help with Title IX numbers right?

Heck if Delta State has a swim team we should too, and If I am right DSU's swim team is good.

Marshall added men’s track this year and is seriously considering beach volleyball.

Isn’t there a proposal being kicked around to increase the number of required sports to be either D1 or FBS?
