Yes there are a few thousand of these idiots. Out of a country of 330 million. A statistically insignificant number and it's wild that they get so much attention. We also have people in this country who have a hard time defining genders. Strange times....

Sexual and gender identity is not comparable to Q conspiracy theories.
The % of LGBTQ in society has remained the same throughout history. It only feels “strange” now because people feel more at liberty to talk about it and try being who they want to be.
There’s less chance these days of a Rock Hudson type actor hiding in the closet his whole career and even marrying a woman as an act (though I’m sure it still happens).

He’s pretty extreme even by MAGA standards. But there are literally millions who are unreachable at this point, and I’m not sure how you corral them to the middle.
Unfortunately it’s not economic differences. Easier to find common ground and compromise on fiscal stuff.
Problem is MAGA flourishes on race and culture wars, a far tougher nut to crack. Difficult to reason with energized Archie Bunkers.

Because almost every single one of these idiots vote for your con man president. You should be disgusted and embarrassed but instead you're making excuses for this POS.

A " few thousand"?!?!
Trump got 74+ million votes in 2020.
You grossly underestimate the number of MAGAts like the loon in the Twitter video.

There are extremists in both parties, yet they are irrelevant in the scope of things as the vast majority of the remaining voters are normal, somewhere in the Middle.
But the media loves these extremists as it gets them clicks.

When you have a candidate that has already tried to overthrow an election, and polls for 2024 show that he's basically neck and neck with someone like Biden (and way ahead of all other Republican candidates), it means that almost half the population of the US doesn't care about democracy. When Trump runs in 2024 he will likely get 60-70 million votes again.

I like Biden. But in this stage of the game, wish it were someone with more vigor and charisma.
One thing the Right has done admittedly well this past handful of years is control the conversation, get their hard-right views wedged into the mainstream, and spark excitement among their base. Twitter now morphing into Truth Social II has only complicated matters.
On paper, Biden "should" win by an even larger margin. We've had 4 years of boomers thinning out (his strongest base), and on the other end of the spectrum, Gen Z coming into voting age. 1/6 and even more extremism "should" erode GOP support even more.
But it's no slam dunk. That culture war stuff can really rile up the masses, pumped into living rooms via Fox News every night (even a Tucker-less network won't change). If Trump somehow wins in 2024 and gets to embark on his Revenge Tour, we're in deep trouble.

Yea even the polls show that most Democrats would prefer someone younger, but I don't know who that would be. Right now it seems like Biden would have the best chance of beating Trump so we're kind of stuck there. One thing Biden does is deflect claims of socialism (by Trump or whomever) as Democrats and Independents all know Biden is not a socialist.

Beto O'Rourke might've been a guy to bring some spark. But unfortunately for him, it's too hard building up a winning resume being a fiery Democrat in deep-red Texas.

I'd love to have another choice besides Biden. But, it sure looks like my 2 choices will be old as dirt Biden vs Trump. Since, Trump is a criminal serial liar who tried to overthrow the government, my vote will go to old as dirt Biden.
The Dems have tried to get behind different types of candidates. Hillary, Beto, Mayor Pete, Bernie, Andrew Yang, Cory Booker, Klobucher, etc. But, it sure seems like the only type of candidate that can beat the GOP's old white guy candidate is an old white guy candidate.
I think we'll look back at Barack as an outlier. It'll probably be another 50 years before this country elects someone black, Hispanic, Asian, female, LGBTQ, etc.
