George and Judy?
Not this lovely couple

Who has the better long-term future as an FBS commissioner: Corporal Kliavkoff or Jeep Judy?

Where is daughter Julie? Elroy? Perhaps either would be better.

Seriously, George was hired to transition. He was alien to the industry, therefore Judy likely has the longevity, which may be brief as well, but George is clearly done with a PAC 12 implosion.

I think it's interesting that 2 of the P5 went with an out of the box hire. One of them hit a home run and achieved more than any of them could have expected. The other either hired the wrong person or they didn't change the way they had always operated, resulting in yet more failure and embarrassment.

I'd say 3 out of 5 -- Kliavkoff, Yormark and Warren (now Petitti).
Yormark has been a great success.
Warren had major successes, but also problems, which is probably why he was very willing to leave.
Kliavkoff has had a rough time.

Before that, Larry Scott looked like he had a great start, which turned into catastrophic failure as time went on and conditions changed.

Well, Jane is George Jetson's wife, with daughter Judy, and his boy Elroy.

Sorry to spoil the pun...

RE: George and Judy?
George walked into a terrible situation and the actions of USC and UCLA only made things worse. It also does not help matters that the PAC members think they are worth a lot more than they actually are.

Judy also had a bad hand dealt to her from the start but she’s the only one who has overseen a conference collapse (so far).

She sucks more.

Yormark had the easiest job. No schools anyone is interested in, easy expansion additions, fighting for 3rd place. Did his job well though.

How many trashy threads are going to pop up in the next few weeks? Arizona Day, Gas Stop stations, this one. It’s like The Monty Show in message board form.

It's been a growing trend here over the last few months. Or maybe it was always here, and I didn't notice until recently.

I'm hesitant to click on a thread that has anything to do with the Big 12 or Pac-12 now, because a lot of these threads are useless. They only exist for self-validation.

You are in message board purgatory. You wait upon heavenly topics to discuss, or hot topics that burn with the flames of hell. In either case meaty stuff.

In purgatory you get endless "what if" threads which are the fantasies of posters majoring in what is not fact or reality, and instead amounts to an old person pondering all the options life presented them and trying to relive what might have been instead of celebrating and accepting what did.

Then you get a montage of schadenfreude threads about what horror is about to befall your rival's team or conference.

When they really get bored we'll have fantasy drafts of schools for fantasy leagues and fantasy conferences. Those are filed under the heading of "Campaign Promises" in that blue monkeys will fly out of your butt before any of them come true.

It is what it is, and it lasts from the end of the basketball tournament until opening kickoff for Fall football. There are some here who will rightfully talk about College Baseball and Softball, but not many.

Plant a garden and tend it, visit friends and family, check in in the morning and in the evening to see if any major mid-Summer news has broken as it did with OU/UT and USC/UCLA, because other than that it will be a diarrhea of bloggers and beat writers putting out the most outlandish crap they can to drive hits and sell copy.

And then for the really bad ones there is the steno pool where you can go for a Swaim if you feel too sticky! But be aware he stays in the shallow end of that pool!07-coffee3
