Auburn got an edge rusher from Liberty, so I wonder if they did so because Ukwu chose Ole Miss or he chose Ole Miss because the Liberty kid was a certainty to land there with his old coach.

So, that's why Freeze didn't take Ukwu. He had his choice and he made the wrong one, in my opinion. The difference between Sings and Ukwu may not be a lot and Sings may be a little faster than Ukwu, but I believe Ukwu is a good bit stronger and able to muscle his way past offensive linemen that will control Sings. I guess the difference is Freeze knew what he had in Sings and hadn't seen Ukwu in action.

With the #21 recruiting class in the country (only 7th in the SEC, though), it looks like Freeze is going to improve Auburn's record from the jump.

Backup DB Xavier Cooley headed to Kent State.
