The Big Ten needed a way to make use of their financial advantage.

Nice. Hopefully that helps the kids that might have interests in more schools who don't really have the money to make more visits.

Most kids don't need even the current 5 visits to decide. The only change will be a few very high profile Studs now make 10 or 15 Official Visits instead of 5 Official Visits and 5-10 Unofficial Visits that look suspiciously like actual Official Visits.

RE: NCAA Rule Change: Unlimited Visits
The article only mentions football and mens basketball but I assume this is for all sports. That will be nice. My oldest daughter will be eligible for visits in her sport next year. She has already been attending ID camps at the only 3 schools she is interested, but she has said she also wants to maximize her visits to go to all sorts of different schools. It will be nice if I don't have to pay for all those trips she wants to take.

Remember the guy who was traveling a van trying to see 3 or 4 live games each week?

How would you discern the difference between official and unofficial?
