Its important to remember every year that Jesus was crucified at Passover, not Easter. Easter was a pagan holiday the RCC co-opted and combined with Christianity like it did a lot of pagan practices in ancient Rome (though modern easter is a hodge podge of multiple traditions). Its actually not a good thing at all, its a type of practice the Jews did over and over again in the OT that anger God greatly. They were always adding pagan worship practices to His law and God called it "spiritual fornication", which is also what God accuses the Whore of Babylon of in Revelation 17.
Christians have practiced it so many centuries on Easter though that its almost impossible to get the toothpaste back in the tube now.
If you go back and read Exodus 12, this is the moment the Hebrews began the exodus from Egypt. The night before they were to all sacrifice a lamb without blemish (symbolizing Jesus and his sinless life) and then paint the blood of the lamb on the doors of each house the top and sides in a symbolic cross like form. Then that night the angel of death passed over their houses as all the firstborn of Egypt were put to death in God's final plague and judgment on Pharaoh and the Egyptians.
It a was a statute they were to keep FOREVER every year to commemorate the Passover and point to Jesus dying on the cross 1500 years later as the Lamb of God without blemish. The Passover feast itself was a yearly prophecy of Jesus and the cross starting 1500 years out.
This is why Jesus is called our Passover Lamb in the NT.
So remember each Resurrection Sunday (easter) that it is a really huge deal that it happened on Passover and had nothing to do with Easter. We not going to hell or anything over connecting it with Easter but understand we really should not, but we all know its going to continue to happen on Easter until the 2nd coming. Easter will NEVER be celebrated again the Kingdom age when Jesus returns. No one in the Kingdom will want to celebrate it anymore, instead the whole world will want to honor Christ and the cross at Passover. Pagan holidays will not be celebrated.
