RE: Spring Ball 23'
Talked to someone who knows a bit and these were some notes:

- Jammeh might be your starting safety again
- Dolphin looks good at Huskie compared to the others.
- tons of rotating so you can’t get a feel of who the starters are but you can at least guess the top 3.

So spring kind of is what it is. Not a lot to learn - lots of playing time for everyone. The thing about Jammeh is I think he is the only safety who can run. Hammock might be tired of being slow back there.

Thank you! I've always thought Dolphin deserved a little bit of respect at Huskie. He can make plays, just not consistently. But that should be expected out of a young walk-on.

The LB squad has the potential to be a the biggest surprise/improvement of 23 followed by TE

Yeah I don’t put too much in to spring. It’s nice to see other guys out there, but I’ll believe it when I see it. If Hammock is serious about getting faster he has to start playing guys who can run. Not sure you can get slower than last season though, that back 7 was as slow as any in recent memory.

Agreed. Dolphin mentioned he's playing the middle in the one interview? If that's the case, a beefed up Dolphin albeit more athletic than normal MLB in the middle with Raynor and Lafayette or Alvarado on the other side is a pretty solid group imo. Add in the transfer LB for depth and we might have something there.

Gear sale added to the spring "game" hoopla. Has been a fan favorite in the past.

I’ll be looking for Rocky’s jock strap. If anyone sees it before I do, would you hold it for me? Thanks.

I see you are going to wear a used jock strap to smuggle in hot dogs into Huskie Stadium.

Another clip where TE Grayson Barnes looks like he’ll be a threat in the passing game. He’ll need to bulk up from his listed weight of 209lbs to be an every down tight end, but he looks like he will help this year. At least judging by his JUCO film and what little has been shown in spring ball clips.

I think Hampton will be fine. Gained 20lbs too. Will Hammock let QB do their thing. Last year all but Rocky in a short leash.

I like to hear this. I got optimism for Hampton!

Hampton has upside. He played like a kid with little to no experience when he was forced into duty last year. It will say a lot if we see a big jump in his play in '23 (given the opportunity).

Saw him in the background of a pic in shorts... He's a big dude. He was not practicing, but was there and involved.
